Spring EPICS Collaboration Meeting 2026
From April 20 to 24, 2026, EMG2 participated in the Spring EPICS Collaboration Meeting, held at ENS Paris-Saclay. It was a week filled with discussions, focused on innovation and the MTCA (MicroTCA) standard in the scientific field. Here’s a look back at our participation and the highlights of this year’s event.
From Monday to Wednesday, our team welcomed participants at a booth entirely dedicated to our MTCA (µTCA) offerings. It was the perfect opportunity to showcase the benefits of this standard, which is attracting a growing number of players across many industries.
What makes MTCA so powerful?
- Open: Guaranteed interoperability between equipment from different manufacturers.
- Rugged: Designed for critical environments, with high reliability.
- Modular: flexible architectures that adapt to the specific needs of each project.
- Scalable: a platform capable of supporting the scaling up of systems, from fundamental research to industrial deployments.
These characteristics explain the adoption of MTCA in fields as diverse as science, industry, defense, vision, telecommunications, and even quantum computing. Visitors to the booth were able to explore concrete integration cases and leave with a clear understanding of the possibilities offered by the standard.
On Friday, April 24 at 11 a.m., EMG2 co-hosted a technical workshop with the CEA. The workshop aimed to explain the MTCA standard and how it has been widely adopted within the scientific community in recent years.
It was a pleasure to meet you at ENS Paris-Saclay. We look forward to seeing you again at our upcoming events!
