Netzer Precision
Founded in 1998, Netzer Precision is a designer and manufacturer of ultra‑high‑precision absolute capacitive rotary encoders. The company relies on its proprietary Electric Encoder™ technology, a contactless capacitive technology that delivers performance equivalent to optical encoders without their fragility, and surpasses magnetic encoders in environments with high electromagnetic interference (EMI), high temperatures, or where very long operational life is required.
The company offers both standard catalog products and custom developments to meet the most demanding specifications. The unique contactless (hollow shaft) design ensures very high compactness, low inertia, as well as exceptional robustness and longevity, particularly for industrial, robotic, medical, aerospace and defense applications.
Electric Encoder™ Technology
The Electric Encoder™ technology is based on an innovative capacitive principle, protected by a patent filed as early as 2002. Unlike optical encoders, it uses no fragile components; unlike magnetic encoders, it is completely insensitive to magnetic fields and electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI).
The sensor core relies on a contactless design with a hollow shaft. This architecture eliminates any wearing parts (bearings, contact), ensuring long‑term reliability in critical applications. Key advantages include:
